iPhone Update!

I have confirmed that I am going to buy the iPhone from my bf's colleague, see how I get on with that and possibly take out a new contract with O2 in November when it all runs out!

So tomorrow I should have an iPhone! I am sooooooo excited now! Yay!

iPhone Madness - O2 vs Orange

Yesterday I seemed to have gone through a day of complete madness. My bf mentioned I should probably get an iPhone over a Blackberry with some very valid reasons why. So I thought about it and decided I wanted on. But not only did I want one, I wanted it NOW!!! lol. SO I trawled the net and eventually signed up for a new contract with O2. At the poit of ordering it was in stock, however at the time of dispatch it was out of stock. Then after speaking to my boyfriend, he mentioned his friend was selling one, so I have decided to go with that one and I cancelled the contract. It *should* work out cheaper this way! :) Either way, I am getting one!

I do need to have a word with my provider though! They really seem to be ripping me off! I spend a fortune with them and they should really be looking after me!!! I might call them today, because even if I went for a brand new iPhone and the tariff O2 offer and reduce my Orange account to the minimum it will go, I will still save money!!! So maybe I should go with the new one! I do have to sit down and think about it.

I don't think the one my bf's colleague has got is brand new and so, I am thinking I should probably buy a brand new one rather than a second hand one! We'll see ;)

Lucky Week!

I forgot to say! Last week I got 4 numbers in the lottery! I was so pleased I ran about the house. Although, I didn't win that much £39 which is around $80. Better than a kick up the back side I guess. Then on Sunday I was playing Bingo and I won £36 on that too (Around $70approx). Not a bad week for winning stuff me thinks. Although I did win both amounts wearing my lucky makeshift headband - Don't ask! lmao!

Anyway, last night I set up my site on new servers. I found this great free package: www.freevirtualservers.com I am sooooo pleased with them. It's so easy to use and to actually build a website is so easy with the tools they offer on the Control Panel. I am over the moon!!! Anyone who wants their blog site hosted should check them out! 10/10 (So far!)

Average Joe weekend!

It really was an odd weekend for me. Mostly non-eventful other than the odd argument with my bf. They really annoyed me too as they were avoidable arguments! Both had me in tears, but I think a lot of that was due to 'being female'!  I guess I was just diappointed with the weekend as I really wanted to spend meaningful time with my bf as he has been away. He just worked though a lot of the time and it annoyed me, but I know he has to so I tried not to say too much! It was gutting though!

So it's another week of work. I am loving it so far! I know I haven't been totally hands on, but the possibilities of what I can get involved with excite me! The people just get better day by day - I am having a blast!!! It's a pity it's only a temp role. Not knowing when it may end disappoints me some what! I know I shouldn't get so attached, but it's hard sometimes when you find a place you like working, where the people are nice and location is perfect! This week I am hoping to get stuck in to some juicier work as the Employee Conference is over!

Nothing much has happened really - I have to admit to being rather boring this week. Although, I did go to see Lupe Fiasco last Tuesday which was amazing. He was on stage for an hour and a half and he ROCKED it!!! Highly recommended! Much better than any act I have seen this year and that's saying something!!! I have seen a lot! lol! I also bought tickets to Roots Manuva and my bf got us tickets to Kings of Leon which will be great! I can't wait - They are both a little while away, but it's nice to have something to look forward to!

Hoping everyone else had a good weekend too!

The Return!

I had a truly glorious weekend!

It all started on Friday night, I finished work and made my way over to my Dad's to stay the night. My brother was in which was great! My Dad was in good spirits and cooked me a delicious dinner - braised steak, potatoes and cabbage. YUM!!! We sat up until late talking and listening to music on the TV. It was good fun. The following morning I awoke at 8am, after what felt like a good full nights sleep. I joined my Dad downstairs in the garden with a nice cup of tea, birds chirping and the sun peeking through the clouds. Almost perfection. My brother joined us about an hour later and then went out to meet his girlfriend. My Dad and I discussed an idea for a surprise I had in store for my boyfriend.

I wanted to do something different, but nice for him when he came back from Canada. So my idea was to jazz up the balcony at his flat with some nice new flowers. So my Dad and I popped down to the local Garden Centre, which is only a stones throw from where he lives, and after buying fourty pounds worth of stuff (eek) we made the interesting journey back to East London on public transport!

With a mini tree, 12 plants a big plant pot and my weekend bags, we treked across London on the tubes and busses to create this little beauty! It wasn't the easies journey in the world, that's for sure, but it really was all worth the effort. Once we got back to the flat, our work wasn't over, far from it! We had to go to the Docklands Garden Centre to pick up the soil and compost. We walked along the river, which was lovely as the sun was really beating down now and the air was fresh. We got to the funny looking hut which was the Garden Centre and got what we needed and took the bus home.

On Saturday evening I was due to meet my friend Julie. She called to say she was running a little late due to some delays on the tubes (not surprising), but it suited us as we still hadn't potted a plant as yet, so all was good. Excitedly, I watched as my Dad mixed the soil and compost and began potting the first four plants. Julie then called and I went to meet her from the bus stop. When we came back we sat and chatted in the kitchen as my Dad worked away on the balcony. I did offer to help, but he said there was no room and was almost finished anyway. When he was done, we had a glass of vino. We walked my Dad to the bus stop and Julie and I went to Pizza Express where we spent the rest of the evening catching up on all the goss. There was plenty of it as we hadn't seen eachother in months. I really enjoyed myself!

Later in the evening when we came home, I decided I wanted to tidy a few things in the flat. I was very restless and knew I wouldn't be able to sleep. The excitement of my beau coming back was just a little too much for me. I was to be up at 5am and eventually got to bed at 12.30am. Oops.

I didn't really sleep that well. I kept waking up every hour which was very annoying. The alarm went off as set and after a few snoozes I got up and ready! Totally excited and counting down to 6am when I could go and get the Streetcar. When the time came, I went down and opened the car, I typed in my pin and took the key. I then turned the key, expecting the engine to roar and for my trip to Heathrow to begin. 'Imobilizer Enabled'. WHAT?!?!?! I started to panic a little - I tried again - 'Imobilizer Enabled'. I looked at the pin machine, hoping it would hold the answer - 'Please lock door with your card'. I let out a yelp and began to panick more! Why does this happen to me. I had been looking forward to this and now I couldn't even get the simplest of processes to work!!! I got out the car, crying a little, called Streetcar up but got their out-of-office voicemail. I stood and waited for a while and tried the card again. It opened! Excellent!!! Punched in my pin - It worked. Turned the key - Hurrah!!! The car started first time. I was on my way!

I picked him up bang on time. Stalling the car 3 times on the way due to my excitement. We got back, had a power nap and then it was time to get ready for our friends little boys christening. It was a lovely event, with lots of little children running around. We had some nibbles back at their house and a bouncy castle for the kiddies! I must admit, I really wanted to go on it! ha ha! I did have a jam sandwich too which was nice. I am a child at heart!

After all of that, we popped over to my bfs parents for some dinner. We ordered a curry from the local curry house and just relaxed a little. We then got hom at 9pm and that was it! Game over!!!

Hope everyone else had as good a weekend as I! :)

Absence

Well it really must be true what people say, 'absence makes the heart grow stronger'. It's been a funny one this time as I have been okay and chilled. I miss my hunny, but I know he'll be back real soon and if I don't bug him, he'll be the one doing all the missing :) (Well not strictly true as I always miss him when he's not around). But it's nice to feel missed and wanted and that's how it feels right now :)

Sunday is going to be a crazy day. I have to pick him up from the airport at 7am, which means leaving by 6am and getting up even earlier. I have a friend over on Saturday so I may have to tell her so that I can get a bit of an earlier night. I am sure she won't mind. Once I pick him up, we have to come home and get ready for a christening in Essex then home to bed - Ahhhh... what a nice though after such a long day. I know I am going to be so very tired!

My new work is going well. I am really enjoying it and the people are really nice. I have just been given a few projects to work on and I am super excited. I just hope I can come up with good ideas and that they like them! I feel much better within myself these days. I really feel like my life is getting back on track :) Fingers crossed, this year can still turn out a well as I had hoped!

Glastonbury

I have been away quite a lot lately. Barcelona one week and the Glastonbury the next. It has been good fun that's for sure. It is a little unsettling though when you start a new job, not being around for the first few weeks, but they have been soooo good. I am really enjoying my new place. Because of my holidays, I haven't really had the chance to get my teeth into anything juicy. I have leart how to do a few other things that will be ongoing, which is good as it gives me something to get on with without bothering my boss constantly!

Glastonbury was good fun. Although I did spend a lot of time on my own. The friend I went with didn't exactly have the same taste in music as me at times and other times she was just in a strop. I didn't mind walking the fields alone though. Acts I saw included Jay Z, Amy Winehouse, James Blunt, KT Tunstall, Duffy, Lupe Fiasco, Neil Diamond, Shakin Stevens, Leonard Cohen, Goldfrapp and best of all The Verve. I really went all out and tried to look the part at glasters. It really is full of hippies and lots of love ha ha! I did get a cold at the very end of Glasters though which really wasn't good. It's left me feeling all fluey and horrible. On the Lemsips at the mo :(

The one crap thing was that as I was on my own. I spent a lot of time calling my bf. Which I really didn't want to do. I really wanted to give him some space, let him miss me. But it just wasn't happening the way my weekend was going. He was great though and to see him when I came back was wonderful. I love him so much.

Last night we spent the evening chilling out together, watching a movie (No Country for Old Men) which was pretty good! He cooked dinner and everything was perfect. No flatmate, just me and him! Divine! I was happy as you like! Tonight we are going to see my Mum and Dad. it'll be real nice as I haven't seen them in over 2 weeks.

Oh I forgot to say! I was on the telly for the Jay Z concert. Close ups and all! I was at the front you see, where I met this lovely girl. We're going to stay in touch and hopefully meet up in the future. Maybe even go to Glasters again next year - together!!! woo hoo!

Anyway, will speak soon!
