Twestival London

Twitter as many people know has become globally famous of late, with a lot of people trying to promote their businesses, music, hobbies etc. Of course there is the social side to Twitter too, but the best use of Twitter I have come across is Twestival!

Twestival is a social Twitter gathering arranged by Amanda Rose . All proceeds from the event will go to a non - profit charity called charity:water who provide clean and safe drinking water to developing countries. Twestival follows on from another very successful Twitter event Amanda arranged in December called Twinterval. The event was massively over subscribed and tickets flew out as soon as they were released! Again, all sposorship and money raised from Twinterval was given to charity.

Twestival is not only London based this time, it has gone GLOBAL!!! A full list of City's can be found on http://www.twestival.com/.

Personally Speaking...

I should have really told you guys that I have been blogging back at My Opera Blog for a little while now. I have decided that leswan.com is going to be more of a 'Hey look what I came across today!' blog! LOL... So my personal life is at the My Opera Community - Where it belongs! I <3 Opera!!!

So what's gonna be first on my web observation blog... Wait and see, it's certainly worth the hype :D

Random Update...

It's been a little while since I last updated. Things have become so manic and crazy for me I just haven't had time to do anything I should have! I think a little more organisation and planning on my behalf wouldn't go a miss right now. Work has been really busy and very exciting and so has thrown me off the rest of my life. Although I have also had a couple more twinkle meets that have been good fun and they seem to be growing everytime we go out! RESULT!!!

 

On the Hockey side of things, I haven't been able to play for the last 2 weeks which has been rather annoying. I love playing hockey, but I have an infection in my eye and so I have had to wear glasses. Today has been the first time I have been able to wear my contacts and to be honest, that is probably a bad idea as it still hasn't gone down properly. :-( But I really want to play hockey tonight and so need to wear them.

 

*sigh*

 

In other news, my bestest friend came back at the weekend! I am so over the moon! I have missed her more than anything! I can't wait until we can meet up and exchange gossip. There is always so much to tell! lol! Girls eh!?!?!?

 

Anyway, that's it, nothing more to report.

Cornwall and Life!

I went to Cornwall last week which was lovely! The weather held up quite well considering. Every day was taken up with nice lunched out, the odd dinner out and a couple of nights we ate in too. We had this lovely little cottage right by the sea and shops. St Ives is a very small place so you can walk everywhere, a little like Brugges! I gorged on the scones, pasty's and ice cream! It was all lovely. The fish was amazing, as you would probably expect! I have to say, I ate a lot

 

Unfortunately on the Wednesday I got a cold which was crap! I had to stay in while everyone went to the pub. It wasn't so bad as I was kept company by my Twinkle posse! Love you guys!!! I still have the damn cold though, but it's slowly but surely going! I'm taking lots of Echinacea and Vitimin C - Like a good little girl! lol.

 

Other things in the life of Swanny... Ummmm, my bf is in Vancouver this week! I must say, I am feeling pretty lonely now. It's our anniversary on Monday and I have booked a lovely little Japanese restaurant! I can't wait! Should be an interesting night!

 

My friends have been pretty awful of late, so I have been pretty down about all that. My best friend is in South America and I am counting down the Days, hours and minutes until she comes back. It crasy how much you realise how much someone means to you when they are not around! Sarah, if you're reading this! I love you and miss you - Keep safe chica and mail me soon!!!

Finally, I am going to The Emirates! I can't wait! I am going on Tuesday to watch my beloved Arsenal play Sheffield United in the Cup! I got the £10 tickets for my brother and I. It's going to be great fun!

 

Anyway, despite constantly thinking about things and winding myself up, I am good! Happy and content to an extent. Tired and drained also. Strange Week to say the least!!!
